About Critter Care Adoptions, Inc
Our amazing volunteers entirely run Critter Care Adoptions, Inc. We carefully screen potential new adopters and place all dogs in foster homes instead of a kennel or shelter. Fostering gives the dogs the best chance of quickly adapting to their new home.
Because CCA believes in high-quality veterinary care, we have a licensed veterinarian on our Board of Directors.
If you’re looking for an adoptable small or medium dog and live within a 2-hour drive from Evans City, PA, please consider adopting your next dog from us. Some of our dogs have special needs and are super seniors, so please let us know if you want to learn more about them.
Who We Are
- A non-profit 501(c)3 organization
- A NO-KILL rescue dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted dogs.
- A place where all our dogs are placed in foster homes. Fostering provides us the best opportunity to evaluate the dog’s personality and match the dog to the right permanent home.
- Primarily an adoptable small dog and medium dog rescue (typically under 40 pounds).
Why We’re Different
- We do as much as possible to get our rescued small and medium dogs healthy before placing them in their forever home.
- Our veterinarian is on our Board of Directors and is directly involved with the care of our dogs.
- Our veterinary care is very comprehensive.
- We believe placing all of our dogs into foster homes offers them the best chance for successful permanent adoptions.
- We are cautious and selective when placing our dogs into their permanent homes.
- We are upfront about any health concerns our adoptable small, and adoptable medium dogs may have.
- We perform a very thorough check of all potential adopters including an extensive veterinary record review.
- We require personal references for all of our likely adoptive parents.
What We Do
Rescue Dogs
We take dogs that need to find a loving home. We have an extensive adoption process because we want to make sure our dogs are the right fit for your family, and your family is the right fit for our dogs. We are not afraid to take our time finding our dogs a home.
Spay & Neuter
Many of our animals come to us intact. Shelters and rescues have a responsibility to limit the pet population because there are millions of unwanted dogs. According to Pawsome Advice, only 1 out of every 10 dogs will find a permanent home. But, you can help us. Consider adopting a dog from us today.
Provide Additional Treatment
Adopt a dog from us, because here’s what your dog will have:
- A complete exam and treatment from our veterinarian
- Deworming
- Up-to-date medications
- Dental if needed
- Preventative heartworm & flea medication
- Up-to-date shots
Find Homes
We focus on finding permanent homes for dogs. Identifying furever homes isn’t always easy as you’ll see by our success story, Chip.
We are committed to discovering the right dog for the right home. We know there are many loving families looking for a dog.
